...all for others...quietly...

“1 If, then, there is any comfort in Christ, any consolation from love, any partnership in the Spirit, any tender affection and sympathy, 2 make my joy complete: be of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or empty conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not to your own interests but to the interests of others” Philippians 2:1-4.
For many years in my life I have come to see that my life was given to me for others. I have come to see that all good things in life, all the blessings and gifts from God, come to me on there way to others. Life is a “give-away!” Paul says this in so many ways, especially in verses 3 & 4: “3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or empty conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not to your own interests but to the interests of others.”
Jesus not only spoke about this, but He lived it all His life. In Matthew 6:3-4 Jesus said: “3 But when you give your blessings, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your blessings may be done in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Live for others, in other words. Serve others. Help others. Be generous to others. Give away the blessings and grace of God. But live your life in humility, unselfishly, and in the interest of blessings others with what you have received.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.
Today’s Prayer
Oh Lord, help me today to live with utter humility
and with complete unselfishness.
Bring into my life this day opportunities to share with others
the grace and blessings You give to me.
Oh Lord, todayI want to make a quiet,
unseen difference in someone else’s life.
So let this be my prayer today.
Give me an attentive heart to see
the people and opportunities this day
to bring Your blessings and grace to others.
In Your Name, I pray, Amen!
