...do whatever God tells you to do...

Yesterday I invited you to consider what the Lord wants from you. How are we Christians, we children of God, to behave and live in God’s presence? How are we to pray and worship God each day off our lives?

Today, I want to return to these questions with some of my favorite verses in the Psalter, the collection of 150 Psalms, from Psalm 119, the longest Psalm ever written:

41 Let your steadfast love come to me, O Lord, your salvation according to your promise.

42 Then I shall have an answer for those who taunt me, for I trust in your word.

43 Do not take the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, for my hope is in your ordinances.

44 I will keep your law continually, forever and ever.

45 I shall walk at liberty, for I have sought your precepts.

46 I will also speak of your decrees before kings and shall not be put to shame;

47 I find my delight in your commandments because I love them.

48 I revere your commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on your statutes” (Ps.119:41-48).

✓ Today, then, pray for the steadfast love of God to come to you!

✓ Pray that you are worthy of the promises of God for His salvation!

✓ Pray that you trust in the Word of God, so remain in His Word each day of your life!

✓ Pray for obedience and the freedom to seek the commands of God!

✓ Be open to allowing God to use you to share with others what God has done in your life, and to share with others what God means to you!

✓ And finally, love the commandments of God, and pray each day in hope!

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.
