...don't say no to Jesus Christ...

"9 The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him; yet the world did not know Him.
11 He came to what was His own, and His own people did not accept Him” John 1:9-11.
Today we face some of the saddest verses — ever — in the entire Bible. Jesus is identified as the True Light which lights up everyone, and Jesus was coming into the world, and in fact, He was in the world, the world that He created — now here come the saddest words ever uttered — “the world did not know Jesus, they didn’t know He was the True Light who gives light to all, they didn’t know He was the creator of the world. We just did know know Jesus because we walked away from having a deep and personal relationship with Him. When Jesus came to all of us out of our love, to make us His children, we did not accept Him! Even if Jesus Christ had never come into the world in a physical body we still could have come to know Him and see Him in God’s Word, in God’s Logos, in God’s reason.
But even with God’s physical presence in Jesus Christ for all to see, we did not recognize Him, we did not see Him, we did not ever come to want or to have a relationship with Him. How utterly sad is that!
Imagine for a moment that God came to a world that was His, it belonged to Him, He created it. He LOVED it! The world was His. And we rejected Him! The created rejected the Creator! Pinocchio rejected Geppetto! The Model A rejected Henry Ford! Jesus came to love the people He created, that He gave His complete love to, a people in a world He made out of nothing but His loving heart — and we rejected Him! Imagine winning 1/2 Billion dollars in a lottery — tax free — only to turn around and rip up the check and announce: I don’t want it! Everyone would say we are crazy and out of our mind!
The tragedy is that God has prepared us for every work He has given us to do. His grace is sufficient grace. It’s all we ever need. And when the opportunity comes we refuse to take ahold of the life God has given us!
Is there anyone who has ever become the person for whom God has given everything? So please consider all that God has given you, and formulate a prayer, have a conversation with God and ask Him to change you so that you will take advantage of all that He has given you. When Jesus was born on Christmas, there was no room for His mother and dad to give birth to Him. NO ROOM is still going on in our own lives and in the world. Pray that we can change that!
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner.
