...the PEACE of HOPE...

“Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed” Genesis 12:1-4.

When God called Abram, later renamed by God as Abraham, he and his wife Sarah left for Egypt. The call of Abraham is so important, not just for Israel, but for the world. I love this important text above because, throughout our lives, God calls you and me, in fact God calls everyone in life to themselves up and move in different directions in life. God constantly moves us, not just physically, but more importantly God moves out hearts, our souls, our minds, and our level of faith. And God moves us to put more and more HOPE in Him!

Take times today in your prayer and consider some of the great and important times in your life when God moved you! What did you learn about God? What did you learn about yourself? When you and I go through great changes God calls us to trust Him — to place our HOPE in Him!

Today, our country and our world is going through episodic change. Now, perhaps more than ever, it is time to pray and ask God to bless these changes in our world and in our lives. Now is the time to HOIPE in Christ through it all!

God has moved me physically more than two dozen times in my life. As I get older and closer to when God calls me home, I feel God moving me in my heart so much. I find myself wanting to place my HOPE in Christ more than ever. I often wonder how I could live my life without placing all my HOPE in Christ! I know that without HOPE in Christ I am lost.

So I invite you today to think about all the times God has moved you and changed your life. What difference has it made for you to place your HOPE in Him? Today I believe God wants you to place your life in the HOPE you have in Him! Pray for deeper HOPE today, more than ever! For with HOPE comes the peace of Christ that is beyond all understanding.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, have mercy on me a sinner.

Lord, give me HOPE in You as my life changes every day. Forgive me and bring me back to Your heart, Your merciful heart. For this is where my HOPE resides. And this I pray in Your Name. Amen.

From the Bible:

“But Jesus looked at them and said, 'With mankind this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” Matthew 19:26.

“And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us” Romans 5:5.

“For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what you see? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience”

Romans 8:24-25.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” Romans 15:13.
