...transform me today, Lord...

“17 Brothers and sisters, join in imitating me, and observe those who live according to the example you have in us. 18 For many live as enemies of the cross of Christ; I have often told you of them, and now I tell you even with tears. 19 Their end is destruction; their god is the belly; and their glory is in their shame; their minds are set on earthly things. 20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. 21 He will transform the body of our humiliation so that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, by the power that also enables him to make all things subject to himself.

1 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in ’t worry! Just stay with Him this day. the Lord in this way, my beloved” Philippians 3:17-4:1.

Once again, Paul is encouraging us in our life today. He tells us in verse 20 that “our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.” Please don’t be afraid of dying. Just live this day in faith and in obedience to the Lord! Don’t worry about tomorrow. Today has enough worries of its own! Remember that our citizenship is not here on earth, but in heaven! We belong for eternity in heaven, not here. So whatever is weighing you down, let it go, and instead, turn to the Lord in confidence and in peace. Your citizenship is in heaven! And it is from heaven, where the Lord lives, that he has prepared a place for you and awaiting your arrival.

So don’t worry. When you and I die God will “transform our humiliation…to conform to His glory and honor.” That’s His promise in today’s Word of God!

Stay with Him then. Don’t give up! Love Him and TRUST HIM!

Today’s Prayer

Oh Lord, I hear You loud and clear today.

Help me trust You that I will be a citizen of heaven when I die.

So nothing to worry about! Right!

Oh, thank You Lord, thank You for Your comforting Word,

Your Word of Truth!

Help me this day to lean on You.

Pick me up and carry me through this day!

Transform me! Transform my heart and soul and mind!

And this is my prayer today!

In Your Name I humbly pray!

Amen!
